CoCo's Musical Debut

CoCo will always hold a special place in my heart.  This boy made me an Aunt for the first time on my side of the family.  That made Liv a big cousin...which is a job she takes VERY seriously.  He also brought the testosterone to this side as well.  PopPop finally got the boy he needed and we learned that boys are...different!  But in an amazing way of course!

I was able to attend his first Christmas Program at school.  Once again, the staff and kids did an tremendous job.  The kids looked so cute all dressed up and were so proud of themselves!  CoCo had his grandparents, Mamo, Mom, Dad, and Aunt JJ is the stands.  He claimed before the big day that we was NOT going to sing.  But alas, the sweet boy was belting out the tunes!

What a ham!

Holiday Gift Tags

If you asked me what scent reminded me of the holidays, I would have to say Scotch tape.  I know, total weirdo, but that's the truth.  I truly love the ritual of wrapping Christmas gifts.  Well, except now with a small child, the packages are in the oddest, and most difficult to wrap shapes!

I needed gift tags while wrapping the other day so I created a few and thought I would share.  Most of my holiday purchases are bought, wrapped, and in the closet.  Pretty sure I am turning into my mother though.  I keep finding gifts that I forgot I had bought!  Now mind you, there are a TON of last minute gifts to buy and bake so have no fear, I will still be Crazy Lady Walking on Christmas Eve!  But alas, nothing a little Rumchata won't help!

Here are some easy print and cut labels for your last minute holiday packaging.  They would be beautiful with brown craft paper and some greens.  Or slap them on with some tape...whatever works!

Mamo's Cookie Decorating and Peanut Butter Temptation Recipe

My favorite holiday tradition is cookie decorating with my mom.  She has always been our resident Martha Stewart.  Every year she bakes a bazillion different cookies and we spend the morning decorating them.  And every year, the cutout cookies never seem to end!  When she was in retail, she would host an open house with all of her goodies.  Still today, people will stop her and tell her how much they miss her cookies.  For her, baking is a sort of therapy.  It has gotten her through some of her darkest times.  And in true Mamo fashion, someone always benefits from her work. Years ago, she created a cookbook of her recipes that benefited numerous charities.

Everything she touches turns into something magical.
The house was decorated, Christmas music was playing, and the littlest elves went to town decorating cookies and boxes for deliveries!

Mamo's elves.  In typical Jenn ADD style, I took these pictures and forgot to get my sweet cousin JuJu and her girl Emma Lou!

Silly Girls!  They are such incredible kids.  They brought so much joy when bringing their goodies to everyone.
One of her most requested cookies is her "Peanut Butter Temptations

I gotta say, it is too too easy to pop one...or 3 in your mouth!

Liv the Toothless Wonder and My Amazing Slumber

11:11pm.  I just burnt both my thumbs about off with a hot glue gun, gotta move Hank the Damn Elf, drop some cash off from the tooth fairy, and have a busy day tomorrow so I am off to bed.

Yes.  This happened today.

Speaking of bed.  I am so loving having an electric blanket again.  My rock on awesome parents gave me an early Christmas gift.  I also got to test out these MicroFiber Sheets.  They are dreamy!  They arrived soft, and have maintained after 2 washes.  My only issue is I wish the fitted sheet wasn't as loose!  But they are oh so soft!
