Elf on the Shelf Return Letter {FREE PRINTABLE}

Our Elf on the Shelf, Hank, is back in the Little Blue House.  I am sneaking him into Miss O's bedroom as soon as I finish up here.  Hank is dropping by with some new pajamas, eraser, lip gloss, and the almighty band-aids!  It buys me a day...good old Hank will be up to his shenanigans starting Tuesday.  This Elf on the Shelf business is a reminder of again why we have no pets.  It is hard work to keep this Elf naughty!!

 Looking for a welcome or goodbye letter for your elf?  You can grab what I am using HERE.  Feel free to print and use.  Coming soon I will have photo props and other Elf goodies!

Tomorrow AM will be quite the whirlwind...Hank's arrival, first piece of chocolate from her Advent calendar, and putting the first part of Santa's beard on the countdown (found HERE).   What are your favorite Elf on the Shelf activities?!?! Is it Jan. 1 yet?!?!

Christmas Countdown {FREE PRINTABLE}

Last week at lunch, Buster informed me there were 32 more shopping days until Christmas.  So says the guy who is only charged with showing up and putting together any toys that have multiple instructions.  Of course his daughter on the other hand cannot stop asking when the Jolly Guy is coming to see her.  She is pretty sure she has been good enough to get the flute she wants.  As she puts it "Being on green everyday at school should count for something".  Well played child, well played!

Thank you to this Santa for telling her she should ask for money and not just a flute!

I found this countdown on the Silhouette store to use.  I also copied it for you parents whose children's obsessive requests for "when is Christmas" is making your ears bleed as well!  Feel free to use with a marker, frame it and use a dry erase marker, or glue on cotton balls as you go!

Grab it HERE!

Have you finished all your holiday shopping yet?  Not going to lie, Amazon is saving the day!

Disney's Frozen Lullaby CD {Review}

Just when I thought I could Let It Go, and live without another thing Frozen in the LBH, I was given this CD to review.  I figured it would quickly make it's way to my sister's house for my baby niece to enjoy, but boy was I wrong.  This instrumental compilation of songs from the hit movie is quite lovely!  It is used at bedtime, homework time, and I proudly admit during blogging time.

I was out shopping with Miss O and found it at the Metro Centre's Hallmark store and it can be downloaded straight from good old AMAZON.  Thinking this may be the Christmas gift to all our favorite babies this year!

WORD.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Holiday Subway art for your Winter Wonderland {Free Printable}

Ahh it has hit.  The dreaded, horrific, outlawed four-letter word in my world.  SNOW!  I can only say that I potentially could be diagnosed as SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder).  I wonder if my Dr. would recommend Arizona for the winter as treatment?

One of the only drawbacks for being a MSAHM (Mostly Stay At Home Mom)?  If it snows, is on a MWF, school is not in session, and happens between 9a-5p?  I am stuck with outside play.

Why is that a big deal?

Yes.  That is my body temperature.  And no I haven't been outside in 5 hours.

Back to the point of this post Jennifer Jean.  I have been slowly getting up the Holiday decor.  I had a blank space begging for some love.  I am a big fan of printables (ya think) so I create one to be near all the Frosty guys.  Ever since I found the girls at Eighteen25 I have acquired an obsession with subway art  You have to check them out!!  I have a serious blog crush on ALL their projects!

 I made my own that you can get HERE. Print.cut.frame y'all!

Oh and to my mother whose hoarder like tendencies I make fun of, thanks for the decorations!

Twice Baked Potatoes {Recipe}

Potatoes.  Cheese.  Heaven.  Last week, I decided to be the quintessential wife.  I made my first ever roast beef in the oven, these amazing cheesy potatoes, and peanut butter pie.  Oh and I was dressed in real clothes AND had my makeup done!  We sat around the dinner table as a family and Miss O and Buster proceeded to drive me crazy...so is life in the LBH!  Here is the recipe for the cheesy potatoes of love!

Let's Eat! {menu}

Oh for the love of the crock pot!  Cold weather mandates 2 out of the usual 4 meals around here are produced via the miracle maker.  And why I am watching the Aaliyah biopic on Lifetime?  Focus Jennifer Jean!  Anyhoos, between b-logging and late night binging on crap TV and veggie chips, this is what I shall be preparing for the inhabitants of the LBH to feast on!

Melt In Your Mouth Pot Roast {Recipe}

Snow flurries? What the what?!?!  On top of the flurries and 25 degree temps, Buster broke the news to me that the official first day of winter is over a month away!!  Ugh.  Tis the season for comfort foods.  And nothing says winter frigid fall like a good ol' pot roast.  I have yet to venture and make one in the oven but here is my go-to, no way to screw up, crock pot recipe.  The pot roast will literally melt in your mouth!  And trust me on adding the vegetables half way through if possible.  Nobody likes a mushy carrot!
