Lights Off Little Goblins {Free Printable}

Ahh the minute the lights get to go off on Halloween.  Don't lie.  We all live for the moment.  How many Elsa and Olaf costumes can you see before you think you are going crazy?  Although I am kinda pumped after seeing the Elsa Drinking Game that is going around.  If you are out Trick or Treating near the Little Blue House, wait until later in the night to swing by.  I tend to pass out candy by the handful...just to shut down the operation.  After the last mini-sized Snicker is out the door, this sign will go up and the spooky adult beverage will be poured.  Anybody dares to knock after the sign is up, I will answer the door without my makeup on.  That will teach them!

Grab it HERE and print, cut, and frame or heck, tape to the door!

Trunk or Treat {A Dentist's Dream}

This year we took part in "Trunk or Treat" at Miss O's school.  It was so much fun seeing all the kids dressed up.  Last year, the school put on "The Wizard of Oz" as their annual school play, so this Halloween there were about 10 Dorothys, a scarecrow, and a few lions running around!  And the amount of candy we have acquired?  Oh my!  I found some fun, and delicious ideas out there that can take leftover candy to a whole new level!

What do you do with all that leftover candy in your house?

Let's Eat!

Woo Hoo!  Back to my schedule!  This week will be plenty busy getting ready for all the Ghouls and Boys on Halloween this Friday.  I am trying this new thing out this week to see if it helps...it is called organization.  I will let you know how it works out for me.  Anywhoos, this is what I shall be serving the monsters in the Little Blue House this week.  Stayed tuned for details on our Halloween meal!

Let's Eat!

This week is the closest I will ever be to running a marathon.  I am working 4 out of the 5 days this week!  YIKES!!  Buster may have to drive home from Pizza and Pumpkins on Friday as I will be leading Happy Hour!  Thank God for crock pots!

What is your best crock pot recipe?

A Witch and her little Monster...{FREE PRINTABLE}

So this year for Halloween I am a witch...literally.  Miss O has decided, like half the girls in her class, to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.  Last year her school chose Oz as the annual school play and VOILA us moms are like vultures in the Dorothy section of Halloween costumes!  I kept thinking "so this is what my mom felt like in the days of Cabbage Patch Kids".  Miss O asked me to be Glenda, but how much work is that?!?! I found a green witch nose in the Dollar Spot at Target (Holla!!), slap on some face paint, and thankfully my whole closet is black.  I created this printable in hopes of being part of the outside decor.  But as weather in the Midwest goes, it could be sunny and 80 degrees or even snowing, so it is inside for now!

I created a printable for the household of a single monster, or those with a gaggle of those ghouls!  You can grab a copy HERE.  You got it...Print, Cut, Frame!

Cinnamon Cookie Bars

What does one do when home with a child who has been out sick for over a week? Drink.  I meant bake!  (Ok and maybe have a few drinks!!).  And who knew that while on social media, I would find my soulmate?  Was I trolling Match.com and leaving Buster?  Heck no!  I found these cinnamon bars on Facebook and we have lived happily ever after since!  GO MAKE THEM NOW!

Halloween Lacing Cards

Miss O is a crafty chick.  A girl after my own heart.  Although so often she reminds me of her father. If I ask how school was, the response is often "Just fine".  Which is incredibly the SAME answer he gives me about life at the MC.  But bust out glitter, stamps, or glue, she transforms into a mini Jennifer Jean!  Lately she has been begging me to sew.  Only problem?  I haven't the faintest clue on how to even get the thread into a sewing machine.  I am known for some hand stitched pillows (don't look close) and if all else fails, a glue gun will always work.  But alas, I have convinced her that if she uses lacing cards, she is sewing and that my friends has bought me some time!

I teared up at this pic...she still has sweet little girl hands.

The Silhouette program has some great stitching cards available.  And they came through once again for the Halloween season.  I downloaded the cards and had good ol' Hettie cut them out.  No Silhouette?  No problem.

Print these ghoulish characters HERE, cut them out, and use an old school paper hole puncher to make the "stitch holes".

Not gonna lie, I stalk Amazon for their deals on sewing machines.  Someday.

Carrot Poke Cake

Here we go again.  Poke cake.  Tee hee.  I can't help but giggle anytime and every time that comes out of my mouth or I type it.  Anywhoos this poke cake (bahaha) is my favorite so far.  Any sort of spice cake is top dog with the girls in this house.  We had this after a dinner of Korean Spare Ribs and our PawPaw said "Well this is just as good, if not better than those ribs".  SCORE!  I can also definitively say that this is amazing the next day.  What?  It kept SCREAMING at me from the refrigerator so I had to eat it!

Halloween Countdown {FREE PRINTABLE}

Candy Corn.  Hocus Pocus.  Trick or Treats.  Bring it!  The Little Blue House is all ready for all those ghosts and goblins to visit.  Each year my Halloween tub (or tubs...shh don't tell Buster) gets fuller and fuller of decor for the big day.  And because Miss O is obsessed with anything surgery or body related, we went for the severed hand, brains, and heart route for this year.  And of course as anyone with a 5 year old will understand, I get asked DAILY if it is Halloween yet.  I love being able to point to a countdown and have it do the work for me.  So mixed amongst the blood, gore, and mini rats, rests the Official Halloween Countdown!  Want to get your hands on one?

Download yours HERE.  You know the routine...Print. Frame.  Use a dry erase marker and check off the days!

Does anyone have a pet I can borrow?  Check out the hilarious costumes for your pets this trick or treat season!
