Spring Printable

As much as we make fun of our Mamo (AKA my mom) for all her "collections", I am not far behind. Scarves, washi tape, straws, and printables!  I mean it is all about the accessory right?!?  And all of those help get the job done.  I also figured if I made something all purty for Spring, maybe she would come and stay awhile.

For the print, I used graphics from Rhonna Design.  I am often asked which program I edit my Instagram pics in.  I use the app from Rhonna and love love love it!

There are all 3 sizes (4x6, 5x7, and 8x10) offered here.

 Remember...just print, cut, frame!

30 Years Ago Today...

Getting in trouble never looked so good!

La Paloma Recipe

Last week we had over 60 degree weather and today we are looking at snow and 25 degrees.  I have been trying to set my mind into thinking it really is spring.  But alas, my toes are too cold in open-toed shoes and I am still sleeping under the electric blanket.  Buster made our go to Spring/Summer drink in an effort to keep the trickery going!  I love a good margarita, but sometimes they are too sweet and syrupy.  This is the prefect balance of all things good!  Have this with some fresh guacamole and elote and you my friend will have a little taste of heaven!

Let's Eat!

Here's what I am putting on the table this week at the Little Blue House!

The burger meat comes from the best butcher in town: Pottstown Meat and Deli (check them out here).  Meatloaf is whatever Buster throws in it as I have an aversion to mixing raw meat :).

What are you cooking up this week?

DIY Countdown

Here in the Little Blue House we usually countdown important events by the number of "sleeps" it is away.  Well, in just a few "sleeps" we will be hitting the road for a Fuller Family Vacation.  This crew is headed with Grandma and Babe to Branson, MO for a week away.  We will be staying at Big Cedar Resort and already Miss O has great plans for us.  OK, all she has is swimming on her mind!  I wanted to get her involved in counting down the days and I must confess I wanted to have somewhere to point to when I was asked for the millionth time..."How many more sleeps until vacation"!

I downloaded the graphic from the Silhouette Store.  I had good ol' Hettie cut it out of black vinyl and I slapped it on a frame.  I cut a piece of scrapbook paper to size and printed VACATION on it.  That way I can add different events/themes to the frame.  Dang, I should have used some Irish themed paper and made a St. Patrick's Day countdown!  Next year.  Also, I have horrible penmanship.   Miss O can change the number each day and work on her writing at the same time.  Win Win!

Have a countdown you are looking forward to?  Here are inserts for a 5x7 frame you can use.  You know the drill.  Print.cut.frame.repeat!

"I Love You More" Print

This print was made for my Mum to give my Aunt.  This exchange is what they do every time they say good-bye.  My mom truly gained another sister when my Aunt married my Uncle.  They have been there for us during what has been some of our most difficult times.   I can only hope someday Buster and I have 1/10th of the unconditional love and dedication for each other that they have.   Right now, they are in need of all our prayers and positive vibes.  My Uncle has been quite ill and my Aunt is his rock.  How she does it, no one knows.  She is our Wonder Woman!

I will provide the print for the usual print, cut, frame gig with one stipulation.  Please take a moment to send them a kind word on their business Facebook page here.

Media Console Inspiration

Here at the Little Blue House Spring is in the air.  What happens when the temperature is over 50 degrees?  Let the painting commence!  We recently were gifted a nice, solid dresser that we are revamping into a media console (OK TV stand but the other sounds so much more alluring!).  I am at a loss at how I am going to decorate it and fill the wall behind it.  I found the inspirations on Pinterest and I keep going back and forth on them.  Our console will be black and not white.  I am also a matchy match type of girl so all the eclecticness of them throw me for a loop!

Which one do you like best?

Here Fishy Fishy!

Our girl had her first swim lesson.  We realized we have a child who is part little girl, and part fish!  It was bound to happen.  Her Aunt Amy was Captain of the Swim Team for goodness sake!  For Miss O, the worst part of swim lesson was that it ended!

Irish Blessing Printable

No home would be complete without the Irish Blessing in it.   I think I was able to recite this before the Pledge of Allegiance!  I have mine framed and on the table by the front door.  It is the last thing I see before I leave and the first to greet me when I get home to the Little Blue House!

The luck of the Irish is with you...I have included an 8x10 and 4x6.

You know the routine...print it, cut it, frame it!!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Happy 110th Birthday Dr. Seuss!  Miss O is a huge fan of the Seuss and watches The Lorax at a minimum of 4 times a week so we HAD to celebrate.  Any day that encourages a child to read should be a national holiday in my eyes!  It was a last minute party so most supplies came from the ol' craft stash.
The Truffula Tree snacks are simply paper straws with cotton candy attached to the tops with frosting.  I stuck them in some floral foam and covered with jelly beans.  The Truffula Pattern cards were downloaded from here.   For the puppet, I traced around Liv's had to make the outline.  The eyes are googly eyes and beard/eyebrows are from the felt scraps.  The "Speak for the trees" print was something I threw together.  The tree trunks are bakers' twine and the tree tops are pompoms.
For snack we had a mix of goldfish, teddy grahams, and Goldfish crackers.  Why that?  If you don't know, you need to see the movie!
Do you do anything to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss?

My Irish Eyes are Smiling!

I often will tell you how important my family is to me.  St. Patrick's Day tends to overwhelm me with love and gratitude for them.  They have seen me at my best, stood by me at my worst.  They are amazing.  And they are mine.

Kids St. Patrick's Day Activities

Some of my favorite St. Patrick's Day activities for the kiddos.  Because it is not all about the green beer :)  Most of these you can do at home with just a printer, markers, and some paint!  Because you know me...all about the easy peasy factor!

Look at the loot the Leprechaun left Liv at the end of her hunt!

Let's Eat!

Here is what will be on the table this week in the Little Blue House!

I'm Lucky Because-St. Patrick's Day Printable

St. Patrick's Day!  The most Wonderful Time of the Year!  In case you didn't know, I look forward to this day all year.  For me, it is about family. And what an incredible family I have.  Miss O is right there beside me in excitement...because she gets to skip school to be in the parade!

In the next week I will be sharing some of my favorite things Irish.  I am starting with a printable I made.  In keeping with my "word" this year being GRATITUDE, I wanted let my family know daily how lucky I am.   You can print it out from here, frame it, and write with a dry erase marker on the glass how lucky you are.  Starting with pretty darn lucky because I made it so easy for ya!!!
